Educational Leader | Out of School Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH) | Sutherland Area

A NFP parent committee are looking for an Educational Leader to join their centre that is located in a picturesque suburb in the South of Sydney.
  • Pay Level 5 | Above Award | Approx $30 - $33 per hour for the right candidate.
  • PPT | 30 hours per week | Split Shifts, lots of admin time, Tue PM off to enjoy.
  • Great organisational structure with a well-equipped team with low turnover.
About the role:
  • A permanent part-time, 30 hours per week position, working split shifts of before and after school care.
  • A variety of shifts on and off the floor, with currently having two morning shifts and one afternoon shift dedicated to admin time and not on the floor.
  • Tuesday afternoon off to enjoy and have a break from the centre.
  • Great structure with lots of support.
  • This position sits below the Centre Manager. There is another PPT Educational Leader at the service. It is not a job share position, with both having clear and precise split tasks and responsibilities.
  • Shared nominated supervisor responsibility with two others.
  • Educational Leader for the service with plenty of admin time to complete this important role (as well as great support in the team and resources).
  • Lead, guide, and support a team which provides high quality care to children whilst ensuring the smooth operation of the day to day operations.
  • OSHC is guided by a positive play-based Framework (curriculum), with a focus on social and emotional development of children.

  • Centre aims to always be above ratio, plenty of support around at all times for educators.
  • Own space within school grounds.
  • Approved for under 100 places.

  • CCMS program used is QikKids.

Who are we looking for?
  • Experience with QikKids an advantage.
  • Sound use of technology in general such as emails, excel, word, etc.
  • Understanding of the NQF and all it encompasses - NQS, Framework, Regulations.
  • 5 years’ experience working in a similar role desirable.
  • Certificate IV or above desirable.
  • CHCPRT001: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection (or willing to obtain, 1-day course).
  • HLTAID004: Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (or willing to obtain, 1-day course).
  
A Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check applies to this position.
