The Moreland area, including Brunswick, recognises the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waterways in the area.

This area was made up of wooded forests and native grasslands. The Merri Creek, also known as the “Merri Merri” Creek, means “very rocky” in Woi wurrung, the traditional language.
We are looking for an experienced OSHC professional to step into a Director role, leading a team of educators in providing quality programs and practices.
The school on which this OSHC is located boasts beautiful, interactive learning environments, including the schools Orchard Garden. The garden allows children to immerse themselves in gardening and agriculture as well as learning about sustainability.
The school is dedicated to building strong relationships with the school community. We are looking for someone is like-minded and wants to form partnerships with all stakeholders including the school community.
This position is ideal for a Responsible Person or 2IC looking to step up & gain valuable experience in managing, leading & mentoring a team of educators within the OSHC sector.
Why this role?
  • Full time Director position | 38 hours per week
  • Split shifts for work/life balance (shifts include 7-9am & 2-6:30pm – + additional admin time
  • $62,600-$66,000 + super + bonus structure + discounts
  • Be supported by a strong 2IC
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management for the service
  • Gain experience in rostering, people management, planning & programming & building strong relationships with stakeholders

  • Service is licensed for 125 but generally sits at about 70 children per afternoon

  • Start date – we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible

What are we looking for?
  • We are looking for someone who is looking for growth and step into a management position
  • Someone with strong leadership skills
  • Someone who is community-focused and will ensure positive relationships and interactions with the school is maintained
  • Someone with experience communicating with stakeholders including families, school communities, school executives, management team etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NQF - NQS, Framework, Regulations.
  • Someone who has strong communication skills.
  • Someone who can mentor and support educators to build and develop their professional practice and standards.

  • CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • Working towards a qualification or hold Diploma in Children’s Services (Out-of-Hours Care), or equivalent desirable.
  • Valid Working with Children Check
