Work within a beautiful school environment, with a beach lifestyle. We are looking for an experienced and creative Coordinator to maintain this much loved Service.
  • ASC and Vacation Care only, no getting up early in the morning

  • Permanent full-time, 38 hours | Block shifts | Award Rate $34- $37 ph + super
Be immersed in a quiet country town with a number of heritage listed sites and a beautiful river, located 20 minutes away from some incredible beaches. This role will suit an experienced leader who is able to connect to the amazing Service environment and help it flourish. This Service is located within a brand new school that is only 6 – 7 years old, with great facilities and close to some incredible beaches. Building this Service up and promoting it to the wider community is one of the areas where you will get to be creative and try your hand in marketing.
 
This Service is looking for someone who is able to connect to the local community, whilst being knowledgeable and compliance driven. You will be provided with your own admin space and approximately 18 hours of contact time and 20 hours of non-contact time depending on the needs of the Service. This role will allow you to be flexible, creative, and innovative to meet the needs of families and the school community. You must be able to assist families with all aspects of the Service, including CCS requirements, enrolments, answering emails and billing.
 
You will be part of a close school community, however will be required to help market the Service to the broader community as well. You must be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders to ensure that this OSHC service is tailored to the needs of its intimate community. Outline of the role:
  • Nominated Supervisor / Educational Leader position
  • Starting in December.
  • Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week. Option for less hours for the right candidate, for example, 4 days per week with a minimum of 30 hours.
  • Block shifts.
  • Licenced for under 60 children.
  • Located 20 minutes away from amazing beaches, in a small country town.
  • Approximately 18 hours of contact time and 20 hours of non-contact time.
  • Educational Services (School) General Staff Award Level 7.3 - 8 ($34- $37 ph + super, $67,000 - $73,000 per annum, plus 10% superannuation).
  • Newly built school with great facilities.
  • Own admin space.
  • OSHC operates out of the hall, but can occupy half of the hall and make it your own. You can leave resources out and hang items up.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service and lead a team of educators.
  • Market and promote the Service to the wider community.
  • Be a strong leader who is integrated within the school community. Ability to communicate consistently with key stakeholders, families and community members is necessary.
 
A little more about this Service:
  • This Service offers ASC and Vacation Care, no BSC. However, the school is open to running BSC in the future.
  • Exceeding in 3 National Quality Areas.
  • Some set up and pack down. The OSHC space is shared, however you can occupy half of the space and leave resources out.
  • Own admin space.
  • Located in a beautiful regional setting by the river, and a short drive to amazing beaches.
  • New, modern school with great facilities.
  • There is a great mix of contact and non-contact hours.
 
 
Getting to know you: An experienced leader who can be creative, whilst being professional.
  • Ability to facilitate an excellent Service whilst keeping in budget.
  • Be insightful to the needs of a small community, and have the ability to implement the specific needs of families.
  • Experience using CCMS is required. You will need to be able to assist families with CCS & online enrolments.
  • Be able to take charge and be independent in the role and how you get tasks done.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Coordinator role or 2IC role within an OSHC or Early Childhood Service.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.
  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, parents, children, the school, and community members.
  • Understands the importance of being an integral part of the school and local community, as the school is situated in a small village.
  • A positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • Strives to facilitate the learning and development of children through all aspects of the Service.
  • Relevant Qualification in childcare or teaching: Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Diploma in Children's Services, or Teaching Qualification.
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
 
COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
