This service is located on the land of the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. The Boonwurrung people occupied the area in Victoria from the Werribee River to Wilsons Prom.
They lived sustainably on the land alongside four other clans, the Woiwurrung, Taungwurrung, Djadjawurrung and Wadawurrung.
 
We are seeking a motivated & passionate OSHC professional looking to expand their experience & step into a management role at this service in Moorabbin. Located on a school that aims to ‘nurture and develop the relationships between students, staff, parents and the wider community, we envisage the new OSHC Director to share a similar view on community partnerships.
 
We are seeking someone who uses positive engagement strategies to ensure all children are able to be included in the service program.  An understanding of child development in their middle years would be beneficial for this position.
 
You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive Approved Provider who ensures ample management & administration support, ongoing professional development opportunities & career progression.

About the role:

  • $31-$33.50 + super ($62,600-$66,000 + super) + termly bonus structure
  • Full time Director position | 38 hours per week
  • Split shift role for a work/life balance. (Shifts include 6:45am-9:00am & 2:30pm-6:15pm – + additional admin time.
  • A well supported position. Be supported by a 2IC within the service.
  • Further support with fortnightly meetings with your mentor & weekly meetings with your Area Manager.
  • Service is licensed for 80 but generally sits at about 30-35 children per afternoon.
  • Gain experience in rostering, people management, planning & programming & building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Start date – we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible
  • Termly bonus structure with KPIS
 About the Service:
  • Service went through A&R this year! They received a rating of ‘meeting’ in May 2021.
  • Service runs specialist extracurricular programs as part of its OSHC program. This includes programs such as art classes, cooking club & homework help.
  • Approved Provider operates its services with great ratios.
  • Approved provider handles policy development & other administrative tasks to allow you to spend more time with children, families & educators.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Approved Provider offers opportunities for career advancement & growth.
  • Area Educational Leader to support program development & professional practice.

About you:
  • You are looking for growth and to step into a management position.
  • You have strong leadership skills & are able to mentor educators in their professional practice.
  • You are community-focused and will ensure positive relationships and interactions with the school are maintained.
  • You ensure positive behaviour by ensuring all children an included and engaged in the Service program.
  • You have experience working with children with diverse needs.
  • You have a strong knowledge and understanding of the NQF - NQS, Framework, Regulations.
  • You have great communication skills.

Prerequisites:
  • CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • Working towards a qualification or hold Diploma in Children’s Services (Out-of-Hours Care), or equivalent.
  • Valid Working with Children Check
