Are you an experienced educator looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking two educators for this child-centred service.  
  • Small Service within a small school | Own OSHC office space 
  • Above Award - $25 - $29 an hour + allowances + 10% Super  
  • 2x Permanent part-time roles, 30 hours & 27.5 hours | Split shifts

If you are a positive and creative individual with sound knowledge of My Time, Our Place (MTOP - the learning framework for school aged care) and programming, then this position is for you! You will be a team player and competent leader who will assist the team in creating a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for the children.  
The service is a brand new before & after school service with access to a large outdoor area! This position will allow you to be collaborative and community focused, as this is a small Service in a connected with a small school community. The service has access to a large outdoor garden, to which the children can learn about their world by observing, exploring, and interacting with its natural elements. 
The school is committed to providing quality education that promotes the uniqueness and achievement of each individual. You will be guided by a great Coordinator and supportive not-for-profit provider with lots of opportunity to grow within the organisation!

Outline of the role:  
  • Permanent Part-time, 30 hours per week & 27.5 hours per week. 
  • Licenced for under 60 children. 
  • Above Award - $25 - $29 an hour + allowances + 10% super 
  • Broken shifts, working before and after school care (plus you will receive the broken shift allowance of $17.18 each day a morning and afternoon shift is worked.
  • Work with an experienced Coordinator already in place, who is kind, caring and compassioante.
  • Be surrounded by a small team of passionate and lively educators who work every day to create an environment that furthers the children’s development and educational journeys. 
  • Be a strong educator who can integrate within the school community. 
  • No Vacation Care at this Service. However, there is an opportunity to work at Vacation Care in a nearby Service.

  • Set up and pack down – change up the environment! 
  • Own office space to make your own and settle in to.
  • A vast outdoor area that can facilitate a range of exciting outdoor activities. 
  • Located in a beautiful ‘country’ setting with real grass, open spaces, and fresh air. 
  • The Coordinator and educators are knowledgeable, mature and experienced. 
  • Very supportive school, Coordinator and provider. 
  • School community is very close, with the Service being an extension of the school community. 
Getting to know you:  
  • You are able to build and maintain relationships with the children, school and families.  
  • You understand and value the importance of “life-long learning”. 
  • You have knowledge of the NQF, NQS, QIP, MTOP, National Laws & Regulations. 
  • You have experience working in an OSHC setting (highly desirable).
  • You are a positive role model for children. 
  • Desirable Qualifications in childcare or teaching: Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma, or Teaching Qualification. Employer may support you to complete your Diploma in School Age Education and Care, for the right candidate. 
  • You possess strong communication skills.
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012’- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain). 
  • Highly Desired: ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain). 
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months). 
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check 
COVID-19 Vaccination: 
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
