This Exceeding Long Day Care (extended hours preschool) in the Marsden Park area with beautiful purpose-built facilities are looking for an Early Childhood Diploma Trained Educator to join their already established & qualified team.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be working with a highly experienced Director, Assistant Director, Educational Leader, ECT’s & Educators in this exceeding service. Many of the team have been long-standing educators at the service, with many casuals also being brought on as permanent educators.

In this position you will be responsible for providing high quality education & care for children, consistent with the services’ philosophy & Reggio Emilio curriculum.
 
In this role you will be expected to:
  • Developing strong relationships with children at the service
  • Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community
  • Plan & program for individuals & groups
  • Implement the policies & procedures of the organisation
  • Work with other educators towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations.

  • Full time position, 38 hours per week.
  • 9:00am-5:00pm block shift, Monday to Friday.
  • OR you may be interested in having a Rostered Day off (RDO) each month (12 per year) and work 9:00am - 5:30pm approx instead.
  • 5% Above Award, $29.27 - $30.17 ph.
  • Non-contact time given to all Educators, 2 hours per week off the floor.
  • A well-supported role, assisted by experienced and established team including ECT’s Director, Assistant Director & Educational Leader.
  • Opportunities for growth at the service and responsibility for learning areas of interest within the team.
  • Work with children in their formative years, introduce them to the school environment and help them to develop key skills that provide the basis for future learning.

 Who are we looking for?
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification.
  • Someone with a positive & professional approach to working with educators, families & the community.
  • A solid understanding of the EYLF: Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
  • Someone with a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework.
  • Experience in planning and implementing the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development.
  • Someone with experience working with children with diverse needs.
  • Someone who can upload the inclusive practices of the service & company.
  • Someone with experience using digital documentation programs (Xplor is desirable but not essential).
  • Someone with skills in using online platforms such as Zoom, Team, Microsoft Office and CCMS programs.
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
