Due to growth, we are looking for qualified ECE educators who are Early Childhood Teachers (ECT’s) or possess a Diploma or a Certificate III to be part of the team at a much-loved Long Day Care Service in the Randwick area. As an ECE professional, you will need to be capable working in a team, family oriented and possess a qualification in Early Childhood Education or are working towards one.   • Permanent full-time, either 10 hours for 4 days per week, or 8 hours for 5 days per week.

  • Supportive management and small service provider.
  • Low staff turnover within the service and organisation.
  • Licenced for just over 150 children – sounds big, but the service is well equipped with two levels and well-spaced out.
  • 2 levels –
    • o Downstairs: Babies and Toddlers – open and bright space with home-like rooms, bi-fold doors that open to an outdoor learning environment with a veggie garden, permanent water play stream, mud kitchen, play equipment, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
    • o Upstairs: Pre-School – open kitchen, climbing wall, chickens and a parrot, large veggie patch, cycle path, home like rooms and a classroom for the transition to school program, abundant resources.
  • Great team already in place with a Director, Assistant Director, Educational Leader, Room Leaders and more.
  • Service has an emphasise on play-based, outdoor learning and natural environments.
  • Unique purpose-built spaces with a variety of outdoor and indoor activities available.
  • Chef who cooks vibrant and natural meals available for children and staff, with children encouraged to participate in cooking.

Let’s get to know more about you:
  • You hold a Diploma, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or are an ECT, or are working towards a qualification.
  • You have a teamwork approach and are caring, nurturing, good communicator, with a positive attitude and are fun, family orientated and ideally looking for a longevity in a service (for that consistent quality of care to be provided to the children and relationship building).
  • You are caring, nurturing, a good communicator, and have a positive attitude.
  • You are family oriented.
  • Must be able to facilitate an inclusive program that is tailored to the needs of the children and community.
  • Be insightful to the needs of the community, and the families.
  • You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYLF.
  • You possess high emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, families, children, and community members.
  • You are a positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
  
COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
