If you are looking to lead a team of educators in a small and intimate Service, and work for an organisation that provides support and allows you to develop your skills, then this role is perfect for you! We are looking for an experienced OSHC / OOSH Director of Service to join this great organisation and use your skills in providing quality education and care for children to allow this Service to shine.
Having previous experience in OSHC / OOSH is necessary for this role, as the Service needs a strong a confident Director. You will also have experience in working with children with additional needs and be able to support inclusion in the program. You must hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ Out of School Hours Care and Care or be studying towards a qualification in the education and care space.
As a Director of Service, you will be a capable, independent, and competent leader. You will, however, receive regular assistance from Area Managers and mentors, as well as termly professional development opportunities.   • OSHC / OOSH Director of Service.
  • Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
  • Broken shifts | 7am-9am and 2.15pm-6pm with additional admin hours.
  • Currently in a shared space, but the Service is gaining their own OSHC / OOSH space soon.
  • Approximately 45 children at this Service.
  • Located near the Cooks River and close to the Sydney CBD.
  • Very supportive team, Program Manager, and Area Managers.
  • $60 – 65K + 10% super + bonuses.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service and lead a team of educators.
  • Ability to work with children with additional needs and ensure inclusion in the program

Let’s get to know more about you:
  • You hold a Diploma, or teaching qualification, or are working towards a relevant qualification.
  • You must be able to work with children with additional needs.
  • You must be able to effectively supervise a team and manage the day-to-day operations of an education and care service.
  • Experience in a similar role within OSHC / OOSH is essential.
  • You are an approachable, and collaborative leader, whilst being professional and compliance driven.
  • Must be able to facilitate an inclusive program that is tailored to the needs of the children and community.
  • Be insightful to the needs of the school community.
  • Capable to take charge and delegate.
  • You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.
  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, parents, children, the school, and community members.
  • A positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • Able to engage all staff members in the planning cycle and encourage educators to make regular contributions to programming and other aspects of the Service.
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.

COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
