This is your opportunity to lead a great team at an Exceeding rated OSHC / OOSH Service as an experienced Coordinator. Join this amazing Service with a very supportive team, two Assistant Coordinators and an awesome Area Coordinator in an organisation that values your wellbeing, input, and creativity. We are looking for an experienced OSHC / OOSH professional who has worked in a leadership role within the Sector to direct the team at this medium sized Service.

This Service has a shared space that is used in the mornings and afternoons and a large COLA area for activities and where afternoon tea is served, as well as a basketball court. The school environment is very supportive, with a hands on principal who values the OSHC / OOSH Service as part of the school community.

If you are a dedicated professional who is passionate about upskilling a team and are able to support the development of the team in a positive working environment, then we urge you to apply!   • OSHC / OOSH Coordinator.
  • Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
  • Broken shifts.
  • Shared OSHC space with large COLA, basketball courts, and more!!
  • Approved for just over 160 places. However, the actual attendance is much lower, with approximately 15-40 attending in the mornings and 70-120 in the afternoons.
  • Located in the Hills District.
  • Very supportive team, Area Managers, and organisation who value your wellbeing and want you to shine.
  • Above Award Pay! $38-$42 ph, approx. $76K-$83K + 10% Super
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service and lead a team of educators.
  • Mentor educators and develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Be a strong leader who is integrated within the school community. Ability to communicate consistently with key stakeholders, families and community members is necessary.

Let’s get to know more about you:
  • You possess experience in a leadership role within an OSHC / OOSH or Early Childhood Service.
  • You possess a qualification in OSHC / OOSH or ECE.
  • You possess a positive attitude and the ability to mentor educators.
  • You must be able to effectively supervise a team and manage the day-to-day operations of an education and care service.
  • You possess high emotional intelligence.
  • You possess leadership skills to upskill, mentor and teach educators.
  • You will be able to build the team’s knowledge and experience, as you understand the Sector.
  • You are an approachable, and collaborative leader, whilst being professional and compliance driven.
  • You are insightful to the needs of the school community, the school principal, and can implement the specific needs of families.
  • You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place, and the OSHC / OOSH Sector as a whole.
  • You possess good communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, parents, children, the school, and community members.
  • You are a positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • You are able to engage all staff members in the planning cycle and encourage educators to make regular contributions to programming and other aspects of the Service.
  • You possess current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • You possess a current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • You possess a recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
  • You possess a valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
