We are seeking two passionate and knowledgeable Coordinators to support an 140 place OSHC service located in Leichardt.   
 
This service is overseen by a Director/Program Manager. The program is split into two programs, juniors and seniors. The Coordinators will be responsible for leading each of these programs.
 
The Approved Provider offers ongoing professional development and support. You will have the guidance and support of a mentor, regional manager, 2IC/RP’S and a team of dedicated OSHC educators.

The role:

  • As the Coordinator (approved provider calls this position Director) you will be responsible for leading either the junior or Senior's program with the guidance and support of your Program Manager
  • The service is licensed for just under 150 children 
  • This is a full time position - 38 hours per week
  • Split shifts allowing for a great work / life balance
  • $60,000-$65,000 + superannuation + bonus structure 
  • Minimum of 8 hours of admin time each week

  • Service runs above ratio between 1:10-1:12
  • Offers ongoing support from head office (head office organises policy development and admin support allowing the service to focus on its children, educators, program and quality improvement)

Let’s get to know more about you:
  • You hold a Diploma, or teaching qualification, or are working towards a relevant qualification.
  • You must be able to work with children with additional needs.
  • You must be able to effectively supervise a team and manage the day-to-day operations of an education and care service.
  • Experience in a similar role within OSHC / OOSH is essential.
  • You are an approachable, and collaborative leader, whilst being professional and compliance driven.
  • Must be able to facilitate an inclusive program that is tailored to the needs of the children and community.
  • Be insightful to the needs of the school community.
  • Capable to take charge and delegate.
  • You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.
  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, parents, children, the school, and community members.
  • A positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • Able to engage all staff members in the planning cycle and encourage educators to make regular contributions to programming and other aspects of the Service.
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months)

COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
