We are looking for a natural leader who has experience in the OSHC / OOSH space. If you would like to step up into an Assistant Coordinator position and make a difference to an Exceeding Service, then this role is for you!

  • Full-time, 38 hours per week.
  • Broken shifts.
  • Shared OSHC space, and grassed outdoor areas and handball court.
  • Sometimes the school library is utilised.
  • Approved for under 90 children.
  • A mix of hours on and off the floor.
  • $32-$33 per hour (approx. $65K + 10% super)

  • Support the Coordinator to manage the everyday operations of the Service.
  • Mentor and be a positive role model for the team of educators.
  • You are a strong leader and can support staff.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders is necessary.

  • Shared OSHC space. Large school grounds with a variety of shared spaces that the Service utilises.
  • A mix of on and off the floor hours with broken shifts.
  • Very supportive school principal and staff.
  • Supportive Area Manager and mentors.
  • Fortnightly Service Coordinator Cluster meetings and Service Coordinator meetings held on the opposite weeks to grow and improve your skills through mentoring and professional development.

More about you!
  • You have previous experience in a leadership role in an OSHC / OOSH or Early Childhood space, this could be experience as a RP and looking to step up.
  • You must be able to effectively supervise a team and provide support to manage the everyday operations of an education and care service.
  • You will be flexible and approachable and be able to support the Coordinator and rest of the team with their development.
  • Must be able to get along with the team and immerse yourself in the team culture.
  • You will be insightful to the needs of the school community, and possess the ability to implement the specific needs of families.
  • Possesses sound knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.
  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to communicate with different stakeholders, parents, children, the school, and community members.
  • A positive role model for children and other staff members.
  • Strives to facilitate the learning and development of children through all aspects of the Service.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
  • Must have: Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
  • Must have: Covid-19 Vaccination (Fully vaccinated)
