This is an ongoing journey that we would expect our new part-time educator to join the school on.

About the role:
  • Permanent part-time position | 2-6pm afternoons | 9-5 Vacation Care (approx. 20 hours per week – more during the holidays)
  • $27-$35 per hour (dependent on qualifications & experience)
  • Service doesn’t currently run a before school program
  • This position offers a great work/life/study balance
  • Above award wages (negotiable for the right candidate)
  • Start date: January 2022
  • Small service | Licensed for 70 but utilisation is lower at about 45 children per session
  • Structure includes Director, Assistant Director, PPT Educator (as advertised) and a pool of casual educators
  • Own space on school grounds
  • Laptop provided
  • Be included in school social events & meetings
  • Service recently went through A&R (March 2020) and received a rating of meeting every quality area

  • School principal is the Approved Provider of this OSHC service
  • Located within a prestigious girls’ school in the Inner-city
  • Great inner-city location | Close to public transport including bus & train
  • School showcases state of the art facilities
About you:
  • You are someone who wants to be actively involved in the planning, implementation & evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program
  • You are enthusiastic and passionate about working with children in the middle childhood age bracket
  • You have a community minded approach to your work
  • You are committed to providing a safe and inviting learning environment for all children.
  • You insure all children are given the opportunity to be included in the service operations and programs.
  • You possess an understanding of the My Time Our Place Learning Framework or are willing to learn
  • You are a positive role model for children and other educators
  • You strive to facilitate the learning and development of children through all aspects of the Service
  • A qualification such as a certificate 3 or Diploma in Children’s Services will be looked upon fondly

  • Previous experience working with children in the middle-childhood age bracket (OSHC experience is desirable)
  • Possesses current ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Possesses current ‘CHCPRT001- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check

COVID-19 Vaccination:
It is a requirement in NSW that any ECEC (and OSHC) staff across the state must receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.
