After School Care Coordinator | Part Time | Double Bay

This parent managed service in Double Bay is looking for an experienced OSHC Coordinator to join their well-established team.
This service believes OSHC should be an inspiring & supportive environment where each individual feels welcome & has the opportunity to grow & develop.
The Coordinator will be responsible for embedding three key factors into the service & their everyday practice; child engagement, the leadership of the team, and business administration.
About this role?
  • Afternoon | Co-Coordinator | Nominated Supervisor.
  • $40-$45 per hour + super (dependent on experience & qualifications)
  • Permanent Part Time | 20 – 30 hours | Monday to Friday.
  • During school term 25 hours per week | ASC Shift 2 pm – 7 pm.
  • During school holidays 30 hours per week | 12 pm – 6 pm.
  • Nominated Supervisor.
  • Be supported by the knowledgeable Educational Leader & a team of long-standing educators
  • Ongoing professional development & training is encouraged.

  • The Center is closed from the 23rd of December to the 16th of January (4 weeks). More time to spend with family and friends.
  • Supportive principal, fortnightly meetings to assist the coordinator/s in feeling supportive and providing continuity between the school and OSHC service.

  • Someone who can lead the team with the support of the Educational Leader in implementing quality, developmentally appropriate programs that allow children to flourish.
  • Someone who can develop strong relationships with children built on respect, patience & an understanding of child development.
  • Someone who has excellent knowledge and understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework & the National Quality Framework.
  • Someone who is passionate and personable, and who can mentor and guide their team in their professional practice.
  • Someone who will be present at the service – families, children, educators, school, and other stakeholders need to know you as the face of the service.
  • Someone with strong communication skills.
  • Someone who can continue to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including the parent management team, school executives & the wider community.
  • Ensuring the service maintains quality and compliance across the 7 quality areas of the NQS.
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day management of the service operations.
  • As a parent managed service, a high level of autonomy is expected from the coordinator.
  • Relevant Qualification in childcare or teaching: Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Diploma in Children's Services, Teaching Qualification or relevant ACECQA approved qualifications.
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004/12 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • Diploma in Children’s Services (Out-of-Hours-Care), or equivalent.
  • WWCC current Working with Children Check.
