About the Role:
  • Full Time: 38 Hours per week.
  • Shift Times: 6.30am – 10am & 2pm – 6.30pm but these times can vary
  • On the Floor & Plenty of Admin Time Off the Floor for programming and planning
  • Split shifts (with split shift allowances!).
  • Above award pay $62K - $69K + Super + Allowances | Depending on experience and qualifications ($32 -$35 per hour)
  • Job Stability | Permanent Role & Vacation Care at the service

Details on the OSHC service:
  • Large Service: Licensed for 250 children. BSC: 60-80 children | ASC: 100-160 children | Vacation Care: 30-80 children (Approximate numbers).
  • Current NQS Rating: Exceeding – Due to be reassessed soon | Experience with A&R very beneficial
  • Vacation Care at this Service
  • Established team already in place at the service
  • Own Space and Multiple Shared spaces in the school

  • Coordinator & 2nd Assistant Coordinator in Supporting the service on site daily
  • Fast Paced environment
  • Hours of operation:
    • o Before School Care: 6:30am-8:30am
    • o After School Care: 3pm-6:30pm
    • o Vacation Care: 6:30am-6:30pm

More About You:
  • You have leadership experience with an OSHC/OOSH or Early Childhood Service
  • You have experience working in a large service
  • You have experience with Assessment and Rating
  • You have a positive attitude
  • You love mentoring educators and value their growth
  • You have excellent communication skills – this role will require you to speak to all stakeholders
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are an approachable, and collaborative leader, whilst being professional and compliance driven.
  • You are knowledgeable in the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place, and National Quality Standards
  • Must be able to facilitate an inclusive and structured program that is tailored to the needs and interests of the children and community.
  • You are a positive role model for educators and children
  • You strive to facilitate the learning and development of children through all aspects of the Service.
  • You are able to engage all educators in the planning cycle and encourage them to make regular contributions to programming and other aspects of the Service
The Essentials:
  • You Hold relevant Qualification in childcare or teaching - Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or be willing to obtain
  • Required: Experience in OSHC or ECE setting
  • Current ‘CHCPRT001’ - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
  • Current ‘HLTAID012’ - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
  • Child Safety – We are looking for someone who understands, adheres, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Double Vaccination and can provide proof of vaccination status.
