We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about bringing quality educational programs to preschool children at a wonderful service, located on the traditional lands of the Bidjigal people.

This service boasts exceptional facilities including beautiful natural outdoor play spaces. Nature & sustainability is a key focus seen with the inclusion of vegetable gardens, messy mud play areas, a creek bed, water pumps and plenty of greenery.

As well as environmental responsibility this service has a strong STEM program ensuring children are challenged, encouraged to explore, discover, and learn each and every day. This coupled with a cultural program run by a diverse team of educators ensures a holistic curriculum for children and Educators.
About the role:
  • Early Childhood Teacher | Room Leader of Pre-School room
  • Full Time 38 hours per week.

  • 30 place room with the support of 3 Educators.
  • Support, manage and lead the team in their professional practice and implementation of an engaging child centred program

About the Service & the Pre-School room:
  • The service is licensed for 108 children with 30 children in the Pre-School room.
  • High quality service with expectational facilities including large open plan rooms and natural outdoor play spaces
  • Service is well-resourced for both children and Teachers
  • Dedication to inclusivity and diversity seen with their cultural programs and anti-bias approaches to the curriculum.
  • Building strong relationships with families is focus of this service. They use StoryPark as one way of communicating with families about their child’s experiences.

 About you:
  • You are passionate about creating safe and secure environments that encompass the Child Safe Standards
  • You enjoy mentoring and guiding educators in their professional practice & implementing a developmentally appropriate program
  • You are passionate about building trusting and meaningful relationships with families and recognise them as children’s first teachers
  • You are brave, positive, thoughtful, and professional in all aspects of your work
  • You are interested in joining Leadership Councils to build on and develop your leadership skills and collaborate with other leaders.
  • You think innovatively, drive change & want to participate in decision-making.
  • Tertiary Qualifications (University Degree or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education as approved by ACECQA.
  • Current Teacher’s Accreditation/ Registration (NSW, SA, VIC & WA)
  • Proven knowledge of the National Quality Framework (including a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework).
  • Previous experience working in the early childhood sector (desirable)
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check or state-specific equivalent.
