This Service is located on the traditional land of the Darug people. The Darug people comprised of around fifteen different clans who were known for their strong kinship ties and hunting skills. The Darug people were also known as the “tomahawk people” and hunted kangaroos, emus, and land animals. The Darug language is one of the two Indigenous dialects spoken, with the other language being spoken by the Eroa people.

We are seeking an educator for a part time position who is experienced in working with children with additional needs!
We are calling on educators who have experience working with children with additional needs to join this Service for 15 hours per week and assist children to participate in programmed and spontaneous activities. If you are studying inclusion support, we would love to hear from you!
At this small sized Service, you will get to facilitate inclusive activities and engage in play-based learning with children who have additional needs and disabilities. This Service will support you, as they have a great relationship with the school and the staff are tight-knit and experienced.
This role will see you working every afternoon, so it is perfect if you are studying or have other commitments in the morning.
This great opportunity involves:
- Permanent part time inclusion support educator.
- 15 hours per week (afternoons only Monday to Friday).
- This Service also runs vacation care, where your shift times will vary.
- Above Award Wages! $26 - $29 per hour + 10% super!
- Interact and engage with children with additional needs and disabilities on the floor, facilitate and implement inclusive programmed activities, engage in spontaneous play, support children, guide behaviour, and participate in tasks as part of a strong team.

- Own space within school grounds. This Service uses 2 classrooms as their own space and can use a shared classroom space when needed.
- The outdoor environment consists of a large oval area, undercover basketball court, and shaded seating areas.
- The Service has a really great relationship with the school.
- Several children attend who require additional support with communication, self-regulation, mobility, and toileting.
- Approximately 60-70 children attend in the afternoons and approximately 15-20 children attend in the mornings.
- Team of long-standing educators who all have unique strengths and abilities.
- Loads of professional development opportunities.
- The team loves getting together and hosts team bonding events and outings.

- You are willing to support children who require additional support through communication, self-regulation, mobility, and toileting.
- You will value children as independent and capable learners.
- You will be able to support children to learn through play and discovery.
- You can work in a team and have a positive attitude.
- You are capable to take charge and be independent in the role and how you get tasks done.
- Required: experience working with children with additional needs and disabilities.
- Required: current and valid ‘HLTAID004 or HLTAID012- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Required: Recent Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
- Required: Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
- Required: Ability to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status.
