We are recruiting for a wonderful not-for-profit organisation in Kincumber. This opportunity is catered for an OSHC or ECE professional who is looking to take the next step in their career!

About the role:

  • Full time role – 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday shifts – one block shift per week, excellent work life balance!

About the service:
  • Service is licenced for 45 children – on average 30 children attend per day
  • This school operates on school grounds with its own designated OSHC space and access to diverse play environments
  • Close knit relationships between school community and OSHC team
  • Mix of shared and own OSHC space allow for a diverse number of experiences on offer
  • This service operates in vacation care – stability of shifts year-round!

  • Hours of operation:
      • Before School Care: 6:30am-8:30am
      • After School Care: 3:00pm-6:00pm
      • Vacation Care: 6:30am-6:00pm

  • You have leadership experience with an OSHC/OOSH or Early Childhood Service
  • You have strong interpersonal skills
  • You are great at building strong bonds with a small team of educators
  • You have a strong interest in mentoring and value the growth of your team
  • You are passionate about implementing sustainability into the educational program
  • You have excellent communication skills – this role will require you to speak to all stakeholders
  • You are an approachable, and collaborative leader, whilst being professional and compliance driven.
  • You are knowledgeable in the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place, and National Quality Standards
  • You are knowledgeable in implementing a Quality Improvement Plan
  • You are a positive role model for educators and children
  • You strive to facilitate an inclusive program for all children
  • You are able to engage all educators in the planning cycle and encourage them to make regular contributions to programming and other aspects of the Service
The Essentials:
  • Highly Desired: Relevant Qualification in childcare or teaching - Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Required: Experience in OSHC or ECE setting
  • Highly Desired: Experience leading a team of educators
  • Current ‘CHCPRT001’- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
  • Current ‘HLTAID012’- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
  • Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
  • Child Safety –We are looking for someone who understands, adheres, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Proof of full vaccination status
