Assistant Coordinator | Out of School Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH) | Beecroft Area

Come work for this great community based OSHC service that is offering a fantastic position with plenty of admin hours to help with the smooth operation & organisation of the centre.
  • Above Award rate for the right candidate | Level 5.4 | $28.87 - $35 per hour.
  • Full Time | 38 Hours | Hours flexible, 4 or 5 day week optional, block shifts.
  • Genuine NFP | Parent Managed Centre | Own space in school grounds.
About the role:
  • A full time, 38 hour per week position. Flexibility in how the hours are made up each week. Perhaps worked over 4 days per week with block shifts or block shifts over 5 days. This is flexible for the right candidate.
  • Plenty of admin hours for this position.
  • Assist the Centre Coordinator to lead and manage the day to day operations. Step up and lead the centre in the absence of the Centre Coordinator.
  • Focus area of Centre Organisation by handling bookings (CCMS is QikKids), enquiries, waitlist management, enrolments, rostering, oversees staff and volunteer orientations, etc.
  • Great training budget that is encouraged to use to further develop skills.
  • Work alongside the Educational Leader of the service and be aware of each other’s roles and supportive of one another as equals.

  • CCMS program used is QikKids (has Enrol & Kiosk).

Who are we looking for?
  • Someone who has great attention to detail and is well organised.
  • Very capable at QikKids and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Someone that can lead, and not manage, others.
  • Ability to work independently and within the team.
  • High emotional intelligence with a great sense of social awareness. Someone who looks out for other staff, checks in on them, recognises birthdays and special events and so forth.
  • A positive role model for other educators.
  • High level of understanding of the NQF and all it encompasses - NQS, Framework, Regulations.
  • CHCPRT001: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection (or willing to obtain, 1 day course).
  • HLTAID004: Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (or willing to obtain, 1 day course).
