We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring leader with a results driven mindset to guide and support educators and families within the service. About the Role: 

  • Located in a small country town in the Tamworth area, boasting a warm and well managed service environment and lower cost of living compared to the larger cities. 
  • Above Award pay of up to $95,000 – $100K + super. 
  • Get that balance with approx 11 weeks Leave, service is Term Time only. 
  • Full time position, service operation is approx 8am – 4pm and work requirements will be to suit the service and candidate equally – flexibility for both. 
  • Provide leadership and support to educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Engage with families and community partners to enhance the preschool experience. 
  • Manage day-to-day operations efficiently, including staffing, budgeting, and facilities. 
  • Offers balance, appealing to individuals seeking work-life balance, especially those transitioning from larger cities. 
  • Encourages a slower pace, allowing ample time to immerse oneself in the community and service. 
  • Involves traditional preschool practices with a volunteer parent committee, providing autonomy and flexibility tailored to the right candidate. 

About the Service: 

  • Licensed for children under 35, ensuring personalised attention and quality care. 
  • Welcomes children aged three years to school age, providing inclusive and accessible early childhood education services. 
  • Traditional preschool hours of 8am – 4pm (approximately). 
  • State-funded preschool offering a quality Early Years Educational Programme designed to nurture and stimulate young minds. 
  • A caring, supportive, and community-focused service accessible, affordable, and inclusive for all families in the community. 
  • Located in a small country town with affordable rentals, fostering a close-knit community environment.   
  • Operates with a passionate team whose daily motivation is genuinely around the children and the significance of their work. 

About You: 

  • Ideal is a Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) qualification which is ACECQA approved, however open to other levels of qualifications. 
  • Someone that possesses the passion, enthusiasm and dedication to lead are encouraged to apply.

  • A self sufficient leader who excels at both independent work and mentoring others.

Child Safeguarding: 

Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people. 

Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to: 

  • A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain. 
  • Thorough screening. 
  • Reference checks. 
  • A national criminal history check.
