Services are required to develop risk assessments for a number of circumstances, including excursions. Other examples are for:
- Sleep & Rest
- Regular Transportation of Children
- Safe Arrival of Children
- Emergency & Evacuation.
These risk assessments must address certain matters, which means a generic risk assessment template won’t meet the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
This template addresses all matters referred to in regulation 101 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
In accordance with regulation 100 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, this risk assessment must be carried out before authorisation is sought for an excursion.
Services should refer to their excursion policies and procedures when using this template.
